Come sit on a dreamy lawn by the Nehalem River and listen to a curated selection of eclectic acoustic tunes designed to fertilize your soul! Garden Variety covers songs you may faintly remember as well as songs you have likely never heard. The band’s unique blend of styles brings a fresh flavor to each tune.
So, how did this crop of local musicians emerge, you ask? After their wives crossed paths volunteering at Community Gardens and Alder Creek Farm, guitar player, Bryan Churchill, and drummer, Jesse Clark, began a musical collaboration exploring a wide variety of organic instrumental styles, sowing the seeds of what sprouted to become Garden Variety when singer Bryonie Arnold joined the mix! Singer Madisen Steinbach and keyboardist, Jeff Baumann joined the group shortly thereafter, further cultivating the band’s unique dish of eclectic musical offerings. As the house band favorite, their delicious blend will cleanse your palate with a fresh mix of sounds, presented with style to please our loyal discerning community of local music lovers. Don’t miss their regular menu of local shows, including their gig as the house band every other Thursday at the Manzanita Lighthouse Pub and Grill.
