Welcome to the Nurture podcast/ blog.
Let’s create the beautiful world our hearts know is possible.
Nuture Pod 6: Beltane Shame Shifting
Happy Beltane 2024!
The gate to summer is open and the Earth is in full bloom.
In this episode Iris and Ginger dig into the master emotion of shame. If we want to create a culture of nurturing we need to understand how this emotion works in the body and how it's been misunderstood and manipulated for centuries by culture, religion, families and capitalism.
To understand shame is to understand and unlock pleasure and connection.
As we become shame shifters- we regain access to the part of us that knows how to build the more "beautiful world our hearts know is possible!"

Nurture Pod 5: Rest, Recovery and Festivals as Culture Breaks
In this Episode: Iris and Ginger discuss the rhythms of repair and rest vs. the concept of self sabotage. How do we permission ourselves to take times of recovery? Also are EDM festivals just a resurgence of ancient pagan parties which provided a deeply human need to step out of the dominant culture and be free to explore what else is possible?
Nurture Pod 4. The Solar Eclipse Edition
In this episode of the Nurture Pod, Iris and Ginger discuss what happens when reality shifts. Just like a total solar eclipse turns day into night - so can events in our lives leave us questioning what's really going on here in this culture we accept as normal. What if the ancient tantra practitioners of India were right? What if there is no such thing as polarity- but only the paradox that the more you look at the sun you see the moon.

Nurture Pod 3: Discipline vs Devotion
Iris and Ginger discuss why using self discipline is such a tricky line to walk- especially when it comes loaded with cultural messages. How do we deepen a devotion to our future selves rather than trying to "fix" the present self from a place of shame.
Nurture Pod 2: Handpies and the Waterfall
Thank you for listening to the Nurture POD! In this episode Iris and I dig into the idea of over pouring to find our value in the reflection of others. How being a waterfall beats adding hand pies to an already full table.
