Ahhhhh, where to start?! Don’t want to gush too much, as we hope to book again this time next year, but Ginger and Brigham’s farmhouse is a cozy, beautiful, creative escape from the everyday.

Brigham was accommodating and charming, shared his experiences of arty home renovations and history, and was present but not invasive. kitchen is a dream for communal cooking and socializing, and there’s not much better than relaxing in the massive bean bags in front of a wood burning stove (Ginger, I need to know where you got these! I’m obsessed!). The house is filled with art and personality that you know is meaningful, and reflects the owners’ hard work and personality, the beds are comfortable and warm. There’s an entire cabinet dedicated to quality tea. The grounds are lush and gorgeous, and the sauna is a rustic luxury for tired bodies and bones. It’s just a quick, scenic jaunt to Manzanita (cardamom cinnamon rolls at Bread and Ocean!), Wheeler (fresh crab on the dock at Kelly’s!), and the coast. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Please don’t get so popular that we have to fight to visit again ;) Beautiful hosts of a home ideal for a group artist retreat, or getaway with your best buddies. So happy we finally got to stay.

“First, the bean bag chairs! I thought my wife might stay cuddled into that chair forever, but thankfully I was able to lure her out with the promise of an authentic Finnish style sauna.
